Dr. Min grew up in capital cities of five different countries as a diplomat’s child and found her calling in medicine when she was volunteering in Paris, France at the free clinic of Doctors of the World (Médecins du Monde). During her premedical and medical training, she has done extensive work in international health including medical research and missions trip in France, Uganda, India and Tanzania.
Dr. Min graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine in 2011 during which she was elected into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and conducted research in prehospital care in India as a Stanford Traveling Scholars Research Fellow. She started her General Surgery residency program at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She found her passion in Plastic Surgery during her surgical training as it integrates her interests in art and medicine and completed her training in Seattle at the University of Washington School of Medicine residency program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, one of America’s finest plastic surgery training programs. In her chief year, she and her fellow chief residents won the first place champion prize as the national American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) Residents Bowl. She subsequently completed a one-year fellowship training to become a specialist in breast surgery and microsurgery and mini fellowship in BK Hospital in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea for Asian aesthetic procedures. She is a candidate member of American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).
During her residency, she conducted research in the field of Surgical Education, which she published and presented at national meetings and received a prestigious Excellence in Research Award at the American College of Surgeons in 2014. She was also a Medical Education Research fellow at the Academy at Harvard Medical School. At a national level, she served as an appointee for the Association for Surgical Education at the Organization of Resident Representative to represent a resident’s voice at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).
Having been an artist all her life, Dr. Min values attention to detail in every case, and she believes patient communication and empathy are of utmost importance for every patient encounter that leads to results that achieve harmony and balance.
Dr. Min lives in Brentwood with her husband, Jeff, and their puppy, Rolo. They are expecting a baby boy this spring and they enjoy exploring farmers markets and trying out new recipes. She also enjoys traveling, pastel art and calligraphy.
